ERIE ENDING is my first novel. When an environmental activist, Connie King, is murdered on a wildlife refuge in Ohio, the Refuge Manager, Angela Martin, says goodbye to her nemesis. After she identifies the victim, the Sheriff accuses a beloved volunteer of the crime, and Angela investigates. Through shady real estate deals, Angela discovers that the victim enhanced her bank account, not the environment. As career-driven Angela learns people are not always what they seem, she joins forces with volunteer, Lilly Weathers, to find the truth and unwittingly puts herself in the path of a killer.

Trust Fall: Refuge Manager Donna Winship is off to West Virginia to receive leadership training at the National Conservation Training Center. Along with her luggage, she carries baggage from a past romantic entanglement that still haunts her. But what happens when a murderer intrudes into the U.S Fish and Wildlife Service’s premier training facility, a place where learning to trust is part of the curriculum and students drop their defenses? Donna discovers the body of a classmate on campus, the first of many, and realizes that up-and-coming leaders are targets for a killer. The land around the training center is rife with Civil War history. Will that history bury Donna with it?

The Big Empty: Lilly Weathers, a widow, and retired investigative researcher, leashes up her two dogs and begins a new life as an RV volunteer for national wildlife refuges. Her first job lands her in Nevada in the middle of a murder conspiracy that involves military readiness training. When the refuge manager, Lilly’s long-time friend, is accused, she tries to clear his name. The Southern Paiute Indians have a powerful connection to these desert lands, and Lilly experiences the energy of their ancient rock writings firsthand. While Lilly comes to terms with starting a new life alone in this vast landscape, she investigates the canyons near Area 51, befriends a crackpot who has visions of finding a portal to other worlds and solves a cover-up on the Air Force’s Nevada Test and Training Range. Blocking her way is a rancher who hates the federal government and another who goes to great lengths to woo her. 

The Duck Stamp Revenge: Bella Carmichael, Duck Stamp coordinator extraordinaire, has always known that the artists flocking to the annual Federal Duck Stamp competition are a breed all their own. Every year, emotions take flight as artwork gets the ax from the contest. But when one artist ends up dead, an inept temporary director goes searching for Bigfoot, and another artist attempts to capture her heart, this year may take the prize for a killer competition. While the police focus on the artists to find their killer, Bella makes it her mission to clear their names. Will Bella be able to paint a true picture of what happened and keep the contest running smoothly? Or is this year’s competition all quacked up? 

Ghosts of Willapa (Currently researching and developing this story)

This story will bring back Refuge Manager Donna Winship who hasn't been at her new job very long before she discovers the remains of a woman who was murdered over 40 years ago. It opens up a missing person cold case file that could tear apart major plans for land acquisition and a restoration project on the Willapa National Wildlife Refuge, not to mention a few people's lives. There are tales of ghosts in Long Beach, Washington. Stories of souls who still haunt the small town.
